Professor Christian Hubert Roux is a rheumatologist (MD, PhD), coordinator of the clinical research center of the university hospital of Nice (Université Côte d'Azur). He works at the Pasteur University Hospital in Nice (France). He is also trained as a methodologist and epidemiologist. He is a member of the French Society of Rheumatology, member of the Scientific Council of the Society, and of the KHOALA cohort. Its focus is osteoarthritis: various aspects, physiopathology (role of oxytocin), role of adipose tissue, frequency of comorbidities with their impacts on the evolution of the disease. Her current research focuses on the comorbidities of osteoarthritis and new options for the treatment of osteoarthritis and, in particular, the use of methotrexate in digital osteoarthritis (presentation in plenary session at the 2019 American Congress of Rheumatology). As a member of LAMHESS (Human Motricity Expertise, Sport, Health Laboratory), he was able to study the influence of physical activity, particularly in osteoarthritis.
